Silva Global achieves CARES certification
In an Australian first, Silva Global has achieved CARES certification.
As the first PT system to be approved by CARES in Australia this is a significant milestone in the continuing development and growth of Silva Global.
What has Silva Global achieved?
Silva Global’s certification covers APT-01: The production and supply of the Silva Global Post-Tensioning System comprising of live-end (stressing) anchorages of 3 to 5 strands using 12.7mm or 15.2mm PC Strand, for use in flat bonded post-tension systems. Tested in accordance with AS/NZS 1314:2003 and CARES APT01.
Silva Global has already built a strong track record for its products which are vital for the safe installation of critical high strength post-tensioning systems in major buildings.
This APT01 CARES certification is a specialist product certification scheme developed for the Australasian post-tensioned concrete market.
Achieving CARES certification now provides Silva’s customers with an extra level of confidence in its products.
As CARES Chief Executive Officer, Lee Brankley, said, this is:
“a very important step forward in assurance across the Australasian marketplace”.
